Facilities
DirectPointe's worldwide headquarters and network operations center is located in
a multi-million dollar facility in Lindon, Utah. We selected the facility based
on our need to provide maximum reliability and security.
Network Operations Center
DirectPointe's HIPAA compliant, Class-1 Network Operations Center (NOC) and Data
Center is a world-class facility. The entire facility was designed around the Data
Center which houses the network infrastructure, management systems, and support
staff. DirectPointe monitors all mission-critical operations within its managed
facility.
The NOC features a worldview of all customer data that ensures maximum visibility
to all systems. Your computing environment is managed remotely through a dedicated
connection to the Data Center.
Reliability
A constant supply of power is absolutely essential to DirectPointe's service operations.
Back-up power capability has been over-engineered by approximately 40 percent to
provide 5 layers of power generation redundancy to ensure uninterrupted power. Emergency
DC battery banks are constantly being charged. Always online, these batteries provide
approximately 2.5 hours of emergency power. However, the batteries are only required
to carry the load of the facility for 13 seconds while the diesel generator system
comes online. In the event the diesel generator fails, the battery back-up system
can supply power until a mobile generator is placed in service by one of 3 diesel
generator providers.
Security
The DirectPointe facility features a redundant suite of security systems, including
video monitoring systems, man-traps, card-key systems, hand-scan systems, and a
24x7 team of security officers.
Environmental Controls
The Data Center and NOC are protected by a two-stage, dry-pipe and pre-action fire
suppression system. The system has several built-in, fail-safe features that provide
state-of-the-art fire protection. In addition, a fully monitored, fault-tolerant
HVAC system maintains the appropriate climate for data and network system operations.
