Field Sales Consultant

Meets with business managers and owners to identify, qualify, and sell DirectPointe solutions. Will work closely with the Business Development and Sales Associates to set appointments with qualified prospects. Will assist the Sales Team in building the Company's sales results by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an effective territory management strategy.
  • Aggressively prospect for new opportunities and then qualify and prioritize them to maximize revenue and profit opportunities.
  • Effectively communicate features and benefits of the DirectPointe solution.
  • Coordinate with technical and implementation teams to ensure prospects have a clear understanding of the DirectPointe solution.
  • Work with Sales Engineers to develop and submit proposals and quotes.
  • Effectively build commitment with customers through the sales process to yield high close rates.
  • Close business to achieve quarterly and annual quotas.
  • Coordinate with Business Development and Sales Associates to maximize the use of resources to generate new leads.
  • Provide weekly reports to Sales management on revenue forecast, prospecting activity, pipeline development, opportunity progress, closed business, and lost business.
  • Use CRM system to keep an accurate log of prospects, opportunities, meetings, activities, and businesses contacted.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years outside sales experience. Experience selling IT services to SMB customers strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated record of consistently meeting/exceeding sales quotas.
  • Successful track record building pipeline which ensured consistent sales performance.
  • Possess a track record of successfully managing a sales process including prospecting, qualifying, commitment, negotiation, and closing.
  • Must be able to demonstrate past success with solution selling.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability and initiative to undertake individual projects as well as work in a team environment.
  • Must be highly organized, with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Must thrive in fast-paced, start-up environment.
  • Good understanding of the Internet, networking, PCs, servers, and web infrastructure products.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to manage the complexity of managed IT services proposals, contracts, lease agreements, and SLA’s.
  • Driven, competitive and aggressive team player.
  • Must be able to travel within the United States and Canada, as opportunities require. Travel required, 25-50%, depending on location.

Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience.

Specialized Knowledge or Skills
  • Basic knowledge of PC operation. Must be able to efficiently use Internet web applications, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Visio.
  • Must be persistent and professional, with the ability to build customer commitment to close business.
